Helping pianists grow to their full potential

Dynamic Piano Studio offers piano lessons to children and adults who long to express themselves through the language of music. Inspired by the philosophy of Dr. Suzuki and motivated by the belief that every child has the ability to learn music,  Emily Morgan teaches lessons to ages 5-adult.  Younger students are taught using the Suzuki method, and older students are taught traditional lessons with Suzuki elements.

Emily has been a real encouragement to me since I decided to take lessons. The music she assigns is fun to learn and she is patient with me.

ABOUT ME

Ms. Morgan has a B.M in keyboard/vocal education from East Tennessee State University, and a M.M. in piano pedagogy from UT-Knoxville. Driven by a desire to teach young children, she worked with Fay Adams in long term training to become certified to teach all the Suzuki piano literature.  Ms. Morgan believes that everyone has the ability to learn music, and that through the study of music, we learn essential life skills. Her goal is to make sure her students experience, play and understand music  through the exploration of the great composers and their works. She maintains an active studio of traditional and Suzuki piano students.  Her students participate in recitals and area festivals/competitions.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Morgan enjoys playing chamber music and singing with community choirs. She is passionate about helping support and grow the local music teachers association, and most recently served as vice president of Cape Fear Music Teachers Association.
