Meet the teacher
Emily Morgan holds a B.M in keyboard/vocal education from East Tennessee State University, and a M.M. in piano pedagogy from UT-Knoxville. While at UTK, she worked with Fay Adams in long term training to become certified to teach all the Suzuki piano literature. Before moving to NC, Ms. Morgan taught at First Baptist Fine Arts Academy and Cadek Conservatory of Music in Chattanooga, TN, and currently maintains an active private studio of children and adults in NC. She is also an active participant in church music, and enjoys playing for services and singing in the local choir. Ms. Morgan is an active member of many professional organizations, including, Music Teachers National Association, North Carolina Music Teachers Association, Cape Fear Music Teachers Association, Suzuki Association of the Americas, and National Federation of Music Clubs. Before moving to Jamestown, she served as vice president of Cape Fear MTA, Chairman of the Wilmington Federation Festival, and was a member of Cape Fear Chorale.
